August home sale stats for San diego County

The August 2013 median sold price for single family homes in San Diego County was  $482,4870. which is a slight decrease (-0.3%) from the median price in July 2013. However, this remains a 23.9% increase of home prices of 1 year ago.
The unsold inventory index for August was 3.4 and 1 year ago it was 3.7%. However, the median time on the market was 24.4 days and 1 year ago it was 40.2 days.  Certainly a great improvement from 1 yr. ago!     (per CA Assoc. of Realtors)

According to a recent Zillow survey, 52% of home owners are planning a Fall home improvement project. The two most popular improvements are home offices & children's play rooms. Home owners plan to spend an average of $1,000.00 on their project. To get the biggest bang for your dollar many designers recommend a double use for a space- home office and guest sleeping area, for example. Have fun & go for it!
